john was brought up in seilby by his parents gerald and beryl lewin.He was the oldest child.Had 3 sisters sandra,jane,and samantha and a brother paul. John had a wife eileen and two children jimmy and louise.Grand-children are Hollie,Shauna,chloe and Byron. John worked many years for meynall in seilby leicestershire which he was a plant fitter and weilder.He was a very clever man and taught many people all his skills. John was the track mananger of the model engineering society in whissindine which was his favorite pass time.He made steam trains and traction engines which he took to all his shows. John liked to go abroad every year with his family and spend time with his grand children. In jan 06 john was diagnosed with grade 5 non hodgkins lymphoma and started to have chemo at Boston hospital.He had R-chop and was then transfered in june to The City hospital in Nottingham to have R-ice regieme.All through the treatment ,john carried on as best as he could and sometimes looked really well! After the R-ice john then had his stem cells took out and frozen .Was then followed by 2 intensive Chemos which made him quite poorly and very prone to infection.Each time john had his chemo he had to keep out of public places and avoid visitors with a cold as his immune system was low and he would catch it and end up back in hospital.! Unfrortunatly johns lymphoma became very aggressive and dec 19th 06 the family was called in the hospital to be told the bad news.It was Terminal. John later died peacefully on 18th jan 07 and was taken to jesus. We all miss him soooooooo much sleep tight dad.i will look up in the sky and see you shinning down on me at night.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
